Where can I try before I buy?

If you’re looking to get your hands (or feet, rather) on a Onewheel™ before you take the plunge, we recommend finding a facility or business that allows you to rent a board for a half day or longer. As discussed in other FAQs, the learning curve for feeling comfortable on the board can take as little as 15 minutes or as long as weeks. The more time you can spend riding, the better chance of you accurately gauging if it will be a good long-term fit for you. There are numerous businesses and facilities that allow for Onewheel™ rentals in both the US as well as other countries – Just be sure to do so with an established business with a physical location. Remote rental services may come with risks of liability to take on. Just like renting a car, take your time to read and understand the agreements that may be required for a rental agreement.

We recommend the brand Rent EBoards. Rent EBoards is a growing network of rentals, sales, and services businesses for Onewheels and other personal electric vehicles. Check out renteboards.com/locations to see a list of all the cities they are currently operating in. If they are not in your city, be sure to fill out the form at the bottom of that page to let them know where they should expand into next. Whether you’re wanting to try it before you buy it or traveling and can’t bring your board, Rent EBoards provides a personalized rental service to introduce you into the sport and keep you shredding everywhere.
